Linda Chukwunyere, Chief Operating Officer, AFRYDEF

Woooowwww…. this is a beautiful way to start the new year! International recognition for our Chief Operating Officer, Linda Chukwunyere and our organization by two US-based organizations, the Women Thrive Worldwide, and the popular online news magazine Buzzfeed Community.

In a release, entitled: 14 Fierce Women’s Rights Advocates To Watch In 2014, our own Chief Operating Officer, Linda Chukwunyere was ranked number 8 out of the 14 women selected across the world.

Do you know what? She was the only Nigerian considered worthy of this honour….. what a special new year gift?

It was really a surprise package when Women Thrive Worldwide, informed our office about the feature and link to the publication.

We are most grateful to Women Thrive Worldwide for this great honour!

Wooowww….it just came at the right time, the start of a new year! Little did we know that our programs are being recognized by international organizations like Women Thrive Worldwide and Buzzfeed.

By this honour, they have rightly prepared us to do more in 2014 and we hope to expand our projects to the unreached and highly impoverished women and children in the rural communities of Nigeria.

We greatly appreciate all our supporters across the world, for without you, we wouldn’t have achieved the much we have done these years….

We are most grateful and highly encouraged.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
